Hannah started to play the violin when she was 3. At the age of 12 she joined the Young Talent Department of the Conservatory of Utrecht (NL) and at 17 she won 2nd Prize at the Dutch national Davina van Wely violin competition. She continued her studies with a full scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, BA & MA (full cv & repertoire list here). She plays a Montagnana/Cerutti violin, Cremona, dated 1740/1880.
Hannah performed Saint-Saens’ Havanaise, Beethoven’s Romance in F and the violin concerto’s by Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Mozart (5) and Tartini (D) as a soloist. Hannah has given many recitals, performing at the illustrious Amsterdam Canal Festival, Vredenburg Utrecht, Oosterpoort Groningen, Salisbury Cathedral Chapel and the Foundling Museum London. She recently formed a duo with pianist Tom McCoy and they gave their sold-out debut recitals in May 2016. This concert season Hannah and Tom perform at St Michael at the North Gate, Oxford, the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, and The Limes, Standlake.
